Denver Modern Custom Home
New Build
Situated in on a narrow lot in central Denver, this home—built with Boulder-based architects Workshop8—met LEED® Silver standards for green building. A blend of natural and modern materials—concrete block, stucco and warm wood siding—the residence was constructed using SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) for the walls and roof, resulting in an incredibly high-performance building envelope.
Interior finishes included polished concrete floors, glue-lam timber floating stairs, IKEA cabinets, and glass tile backsplashes. Exterior siding was certified sustainably grown fir from the Northwest. The remainder of the exterior was maintenance free stucco and steel.
